Ever since she can remember, she wanted to make a difference and positive contribution in the lives of other people. Corné studied BPharm at the University of North-West and obtained her degree in 1990.
Corné is in charge of Mopani’s Repeat Script Programme and counsels patients on various conditions.
When asked what the most important part of her job is, she said “Counselling is put in place to educate patients, it is not a recipe, but a lifestyle. I educate patients so that they can be accountable for their own health and so that they can understand that they are not alone. I want to break down the stigmas that people have when they find out that they have a chronic condition. A person can better their quality of life if they make some lifestyle adjustments and follow the correct measures put in place for them.”
She says that being a pharmacist at Mopani Pharmacy is different from any other pharmacy because of the focus that you can apply to your work.
She would like all her patients to know that they are served by skilled staff who are eager to take care of their needs.
“Everything I do at work, I do for God. I make sure that I always give my best because to see my patients happy makes me happy.”
